Elegant Spanish Shawl is a sweet little groundcover
looks simple and refined when not in bloom, and closely similar to
Spanish Shawl. But once it comes into
bloom, it is a showstopper, with red hairy bracts holding
disproportionately large flowers. It is different from Spanish Shawl in
that the flowers have 4 pink petals, instead of 5. Leaves are
ovate-elliptic. Elegant Spanish Shawl is native to Tropical Africa,
culltivated worldwide as a garden plant.
